Habitats range from corn, soybean and rice fields to reforested bottomlands, mature hardwood stands, semi-permanent wetlands and moist soil management areas. Bald Eagle Nest Tour: by land and boat, late-winter through mid-summer. From nest-building to incubation and fledging, the Eagle Tour is an enjoyment for all ages!
This tour is best from January through May when the adult eagles are busy incubating the eggs and feeding the nestlings. Young eagles, like the one pictured on the left, will remain at the nest site for several weeks after they learn to fly. During these periods there is a better chance of viewing eagles at the nest site.
Trip time 2 hours. $30 per person. Minimum $60.
Swamp Tour: Boat through black water covered with green carpets of duckweed, among ancient stands of bald cypress and tupelo gums drooping with Spanish Moss.
